In March 2023, Xinjiang Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences hosted a series of events to celebrate the 114th international Women's Day. These activities aimed to enrich the cultural lives of female staff, enhancing their happiness and sense of achievement. The initiative underscores the institution's commitment to empowering women to contribute their wisdom and strength in advancing science and technology.
The program included a lively workshop on professional etiquette, designed to improve the professional demeanor of female staff. Renowned etiquette trainer Zhao Xiaojing was invited to deliver a lecture that covered the essentials of workplace etiquette, personal grooming, and reception protocols. Through practical examples and interactive sessions, participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of professional appearance and behavior, which resonates with the modern image of women.
The day also featured an observational tour that allowed female staff representatives to explore Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry. They delved into the state-local joint engineering research center for key technologies and processes of ethnic medicine, gaining insights into the research and development efforts aimed at advancing the biopharmaceutical industry, particularly in traditional Uighur medicine. Participants also visited Xinjiang Yindolan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., where Vice Chief Engineer Leng Yingli highlighted the company's strategies to navigate opportunities and challenges. A discussion at Delan Water Technology Co., Ltd. further inspired participants by sharing experiences in technology empowerment and innovation.
