On the afternoon of February 5th, amidst the speech by Chen Xi, Secretary of the Party Group of the Xinjiang Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and enthusiastic applause, the "Lonng Soars Thousands of Miles, Technology Boosts the Nation" 2024 Xinjiang Branch Spring Festival Gala, came to a graceful close.

On that day, more than 140 staff from the Chinese Academy of Sciences Xinjiang Branch, representatives of foreign experts, scholars, and international students, participated in the party.

This event was creatively conceived, deeply integrating traditional Chinese culture with choir singing, dancing, recitation, and other engaging performances, interpreting the youthful appearance and positive mindset of the branch's staff in multiple dimensions, creating a warm, lively, and highly trendy Chinese New Year ceremony.

On stage, the Chinese New Year activities were vividly presented. The poetry recitation "Hello, Chinese New Year!" conveyed blessings to all staff, while the lion dance with trendy elements, and the graceful "Rwandan Traditional Dance" allowed us to appreciate the beauty of Africa. "Group Women Dancing" danced out the spirit of pursuing the high level of science and technology, while the disco hit "Happy Cha Cha Cha" from the 80s brought back memories of youthful nights filled with song. High-level, high-quality performances met the viewing needs of staff of different ages and experiences, winning applause from the audience. 

During the event breaks, the leaders of the Xinjiang Branch awarded outstanding staff of 2023 and extended Chinese New Year greetings to all cadres and workers, thanking them for their hard work over the past year. Among the nine programs of this evening, two were contributed by foreign experts and international students of the Xinjiang Branch, showcasing their excellent talent and positive spirit.

"This event provided staff with a platform to showcase their talents, creating a united and upward atmosphere, further enhancing everyone's cohesion and centripetal force, inspiring everyone to continue to carry forward their enthusiasm for the new year, and contribute to the development of Xinjiang branch," said Chen Xi.
