　　Happy New Year! As we turn the page to 2024, it is with a sense of pride and anticipation that we extend our warmest greetings and best wishes to you all.

　　The arrival of a new year signifies fresh beginnings and opportunities. In the past year, our institute has made significant strides in scientific research, innovation, and collaboration. We have witnessed the dedication and hard work of our talented researchers, the commitment of our staff, and the support of our partners.Our efforts have been multifaceted, from deepening the understanding of our natural world through the third comprehensive scientific expedition to Xinjiang, to making groundbreaking advancements in fields like functional materials under special environmental conditions and radio astronomy. These endeavors culminated in five of our innovative projects receiving prestigious awards at the Science and Technology Innovation Conference of Xinjiang.

　　Moreover, the Xinjiang Branch has been at the forefront of optimizing the innovation environment. We’ve made substantial progress in developing key national laboratories, Xinjiang Laboratory, and pivotal scientific infrastructures like the Qitai 110-meter diameter fully steerable radio telescope and advanced proton accelerators. These achievements have not only bolstered our scientific capabilities but have also attracted top-tier talent to Xinjiang, further enriching our research community.

　　As we step into 2024, we look forward to continued success and growth. Let us work together with determination and enthusiasm to advance the frontiers of knowledge, address the challenges of our time, and make impactful contributions in the fields of science and technology.
