On January 21^st, the list of 2018 figures and teams of Chinese Academy of Sciences were released in Beijing. Joint Villages Party Branch of Xinjiang Branch has received the honor of annual team. At the award ceremony, Hou Jianguo, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice president of CAS, personally presented the honorary certificate to Sun Zhengwen, the secretary of the Party Branch of the Xinjiang Branch and Party Secretary of the Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory. This is also the first time CAS has selected and commended annual people and teams.

Xinjiang Branch specially organized the staff to watch the conference in centralized and individual manners. The team members in villages of Hotan also watched the conference. Everyone expressed their congratulations to Xinjiang Branch.

Chen Xi, deputy president of Xinjiang Branch of CAS, said that the honor has uplifted all the staff of Xinjiang branch. Since the beginning of the work in the village, the Xinjiang branch has carefully organized and implemented the work, and all the village team members resisted the pressure and achieved remarkable results. In the future, Xinjiang branch will be guided by “Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era”, and will focus on the key work of Xinjiang, and exert its own advantages to make more scientific and technological achievements across the land of Xinjiang, to better serve the economic, social and technological development of Xinjiang.

In recent years, Xinjiang Branch has implemented more than 40 scientific research projects in Moyu County, involving various funds and investment of more than 35 million yuan, and introducing funds of more than 48 million yuan, mainly used to maintain social stability, cultivate rural economy, and improve people's livelihood, increase farmers' incomes and other projects.
