On November 9th, the first high-level seminar of  CAS  on Science and Technology network alliance was held in Changzhou, and Xinjiang branch of CAS took part in the seminar as the vice chairman unit of the alliance.

Founded in May 2017 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the alliance is composed of more than 120 units including local governments, science and technology authorities, hi-tech parks, economic development zones, enterprises and science and technology investment and financing institutions. The alliance aims to systematically integrate resources both inside and outside CAS, promoting the CAS industrialization of science and technology. At the meeting, Yang Bailing, former vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Chen Yunfa, the Party secretary, vice president of the institute of process engineering of CAS, either made a keynote speech to the participants. Then alliance chairman Zhang Ping made 2017 annual report.

The Secretary-General of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Deng Maicun attended the forum and made a speech. He emphasized that CAS will promote the transformation and industrialization of achievements with a more positive attitude and create a platform for the effective linkage of the business chain, industry chain and capital chain so as to improve the efficiency of the transformation and promote more CAS achievements into social productive forces.

More than 150 participants from more than 100 institutes, including the Science and Technology Development Bureau of CAS, various branch offices, universities, research institutes, local governments, scientific and technological departments, enterprises, science and technology investing and financial institutions, attended the seminar.
