On April 16, 2025, the Xinjiang Branch of CAS, in collaboration with the Xinjiang Education Union, held an astronomy science popularization lecture themed “Exploring the Mysteries of the Universe” at Ahu Middle School in Atushi City, Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture. The event aimed to inspire young people’s interest in space science and promote the spirit of scientists. Song Huagang, Deputy Director of the Scientific Communication Center of the Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory, gave an engaging lecture, guiding students to understand celestial systems and appreciate the beauty of the universe.
In addition, science services extended to the fields. In Tuowanmaili and Tuogelake Villages, Tian Changyan, a researcher from the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, conducted research on salt-alkali land improvement, emphasizing the importance of precise fertilization plans and collecting soil samples for further analysis.
Maiwulanjiang Maitinuer, Vice President of the Xinjiang Branch, led a team to investigate the rural revitalization industry development in Aremaili, Tuowanmaili, and Tuogelake Villages and visited the work team stationed by Xinjiang General Federation of Trade Unions. He stated that the Xinjiang Branch would continue to carry out volunteer service activities like "sending technology to people," utilizing research resources to promote the dissemination of science knowledge, and continuously injecting scientific energy into rural Revitalization.
