On the morning of June 21, the Xinjiang Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences organized experts to hold the acceptance meeting of the 2022 Science and Technology Service Network Initiative (STS) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for key projects in Xinjiang. Xiao Wenjiao, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of the Xinjiang Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, served as the leader of the expert group, and Chen Xi, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Xinjiang Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the meeting.  

At the meeting, the expert group listened to the reports and answers of the project leaders, reviewed the acceptance materials, and put forward relevant opinions and suggestions. Through comprehensive evaluation, the expert group agreed that a batch of STS projects had completed various tasks and achieved the expected goals, and agreed that these projects passed the acceptance.  

The STS plan was launched by the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014 to further enhance the transfer and transformation capacity of scientific and technological achievements and promote the scientific and technological achievements of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to serve the national and local economic and social development. Since the implementation of the plan, the key projects in Xinjiang region have been oriented to the needs of Xinjiang's economic and social development, focused on advantageous characteristic industries and strategic emerging industries, and constantly strengthened the integrated application, engineering demonstration and industrialization promotion of technology, providing strong scientific and technological support for Xinjiang's innovative development.
