In order to further support and promote the development of local industries, on May 20, Xinjiang Branch and Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the People's Government of Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture held a symposium in Bazhou and signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Jia Ping, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and Vice Governor of Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, presided over the meeting. Chen Xi, secretary of the Branch Party Group of the Xinjiang Branch, and Batu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, attended the symposium and delivered speeches. Anewar Maimaiti, Deputy Secretary of the Branch Party Leadership Group and Head of the Discipline Inspection Group of Xinjiang Branch, Hao Wei, Deputy Director of Xiguang Institute, and Jia Ping, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice Governor of Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, signed strategic cooperation agreements on behalf of the three parties.

At the symposium, Chen Xi pointed out that the units of the Xinjiang branch system have long had good scientific and technological cooperation with Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture and have achieved fruitful results. The units of the Xinjiang branch system have carried out fruitful research in desert highway construction, ecological governance of the Tarim River, high-yield cotton cultivation, biochar research and so on, and many achievements have won national awards. It is hoped that in the future, the two sides will further carry out in-depth cooperation in petrochemical, coal chemical and other industries, so as to add scientific and technological power into the high-quality economic and social development of Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture.
