On June 17, Wang Guohe, secretary of the Party Committee of Changji Prefecture, and his party visited the Xinjiang branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) to communicate and exchange ideas on deepening cooperation between both sides. During the period, Wang Guohe and his entourage had investigated Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Xinjiang Observatory, and Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, to understand the history of the institutes, the "14th Five-Year Plan" key tasks, recent scientific research achievements, the research and development and industrialization of major projects, and so on. The two sides discussed and exchanged views on further strengthening the application of science and technology in key industries, training of talent teams, and cooperation in science and technology exhibitions.
