February 7, Party Secretary Sun Yongjian and several other leaders of Science and Technology Department of Xinjiang surveyed Xinjiang Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Chen Xi, Party Secretary of CAS Xinjiang Branch of the CAS, and Xiao Wenjiao, President of Xinjiang Branch of the CAS participated in research activities.

They visited Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Xinjiang Observatory, and exchanged ideas with Xinjiang Branch's leadership team members, listened to the 2022 key work introduction.

Chen Xi expressed a warm welcome to the visiting team. Sun Yongjian fully affirmed the important position of Xinjiang Branch of the CAS in science and technology work and said they will fully support the work of the Xinjiang Branch, and effectively create conditions for the Xinjiang Branch to play an innovation-driven role in Xinjiang.
