Global Times: On September 26, the "Carbon Neutralization" seminar on green and sustainable development of digital cotton industry was held in Enfei Conference Center in Beijing, which was hosted by the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Xinjiang Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Silk Road Innovation and Development Research Institute and the Green Silk Road Digital Technology Research Institute.

The seminar is under the guidance of the Central Committee of the CPC Central Committee’s strategic decision of "carbon summit and carbon neutral", and to further implement the concept of green sustainable development and accelerate the construction of a green low carbon circular economy system, and lead the green digital development of China's cotton industry.

Chen Xi, Secretary of the Leading Party group of Xinjiang Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, introduced the relevant measures of Xinjiang branch to accelerate the deployment of green and low-carbon circular economic development system around the "carbon neutralization" framework roadmap, and shared three views. First, promote China's cotton quality and efficiency improvement and international integration with digitization. By establishing a new independent certification system of supply chain and an open traceability platform, the whole process traceability and the traceability of the whole industry chain are realized, and the "neck sticking" problem in the international cotton market is solved. Second, break the bottleneck of sustainable development of cotton planting in China with green development, promote the coordinated and integrated development of three industries through industrial chain transmission, and play a demonstration and leading role in realizing carbon neutralization in agriculture. Third, take digital and green development as the double engines of the future development of the cotton industry and lead the development of the industry.
