On the morning of March 6, on the approaching of the 109th International Women's Day of March 8, the Xinjiang Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) held a flower art salon activity to celebrate March 8 with the theme of "Flowers and Life Accompanied, Health and Beauty Accompanied". The event was organized by the Trade Union Women's Labor Committee of Xinjiang Branch. Nearly 100 female workers from Xinjiang Branch Office and kindergarten, Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of CAS, Xinjiang Institute of Physical and Chemical Technology of CAS and Xinjiang Observatory of CAS participated in the event.

At the opening ceremony, Zhang Xiangjun, Vice President of Xinjiang Branch, sent good wishes and expectations to all the female employees of Xinjiang Branch System. He mobilized the vast number of women workers in the Xinjiang branch system to study and implement the spirit of the Nineteenth National Congress of the CPC, and constantly gathered strength, practice new ideas, build a new era and make new achievements. He said that there are more and more women in the front line of scientific research. They are constantly running between the workplace and their families every day. They are the "half of the sky" of the Science Park. They are the most beautiful scenery.

This activity not only let the vast number of female workers experience the charm of flower production, but also made the vast number of female workers feel the care and warmth of the branch groups and labour unions of Xinjiang Branch, let them learn from each other and make progress, like a family, so as to devote more enthusiasm to scientific research.
