Xinjiang autonomous region technological-assistance conference and progress prize in science and technology award ceremony was held in March 27th, where special award winners and prize-winning projects were rewarded. Xinjiang branch system won 5 prizes, in which, Mr. Lei Jiaqiang, deputy director of Xinjiang institute of ecology and geography won 2011 Xinjiang autonomous region special award of progress prize in science and technology, 4 achievements of institutes of Xinjiang branch won first-prize, second-prize and third-prize of progress prize in science and technology respectively.
Secretary of CPC of Xinjiang autonomous region Mr. Zhang Chunxian made important statement, deputy secretary and president of Xinjiang autonomous region Mr. Nuer Baikeli hosted the conference, member of standing committee of CPC of Xinjiang autonomous region Mr. Erkengjiang Tulahong read out “decision on rewarding special award winners and prize-winning scientific and technological achievements of 2011 Xinjiang autonomous region progress prize in science and technology” made by government of Xinjiang autonomous region, Mr. Che Jun, Mr. Song Airong and other leaders of Xinjiang autonomous region attended the conference.
In order to further apply the spirit of national conference on working of Xinjiang and Xinjiang autonomous region congress of party representatives, meanwhile, further popularize science and technology, attract talents, promote the industrialization of scientific achievements, and form the atmosphere of respecting for competent people and leaning. The evaluation committee of progress prize in science and technology selected 2 special award winners, and 121 winners of first-prize to third-prize. The rewarded projects hosted by Xinjiang branch system include: “the research and development of high-performance lithium iron battery positive material” won the first-prize, “research on root ecology of deep rooting plant” and “development and demonstration of comprehensive improvement technology of typical dessert ecological system in Xinjiang rainless region” won the second-prizes, “development of pomegranate peel polyphenol effervescent tablet” won the third-prize.
Mr. Dong Yunshe Vice-president of Xinjiang branch, Mr. Jilili Abuduwaili deputy director of Xinjiang institute of ecology and geography, Mr. Aji deputy director of Xinjiang technical institute of physics& chemistry and rewarded researchers of Xinjiang branch attended the conference.
